Mansfield Screw Machine Products Company was founded in 1945 by Joseph L. Witchey and two partners in a small garage in downtown Mansfield, Ohio, to produce parts for two local thermostat manufacturers. After early success, the Company relocated to a larger production facility in Mansfield and over the next 35 years expanded that facility several times to meet the growing demands of its' customer base.

In 1980, led by third generation of the Witchey family (Richard D. Witchey Jr.), Mansfield Screw Machine became the first resident of the newly formed Lexington Industrial Park in Lexington, Ohio. The new 36,000 square foot facility tripled the size of the old plant with a full range of production equipment including single and multi spindle, CNC, and secondary capabilities. Mansfield Screw Machine had evolved into a sophisticated, world class supplier of precision machined components.

Today, under the direction of Richard D. Witchey III, representing the fourth generation of family ownership, our facility has been expanded to 50,000 square feet and houses over 100 pieces of high-tech production equipment. We have grown to service customers in many industries and have a reputation for premier quality, quick-response manufacturing, specifically designed for each individual application.
